Summary
In Judges 3, God raises up an unlikely deliverer: Ehud, a left-handed man from the tribe of Benjamin. Though overlooked by the world, Ehud’s weakness becomes the very means of Israel’s rescue. His story reminds us that God doesn’t avoid weakness. He works through it.
When Israel forgets God and turns to idols, they become enslaved—first externally, then internally. God responds not with wrathful force but with surprising mercy. Ehud’s deliverance foreshadows Jesus, the ultimate outsider, who secures our salvation by giving Himself for us.
God’s presence in our weakness is the foundation of true peace. Faith begins not with control, but with trustful surrender.
