Adventus Domini: The King Has Come
Advent: Anticipation (Puer Natus Est)
Summary
Isaiah 9 announces a promise that reshapes reality: a child will be born to end the darkness. Into a world haunted by death, God sends His Son—not as a warrior to crush us, but as a baby to save us. His birth is not an escape from darkness, but the dawn of light within it.
This light reframes suffering. Jesus Christ, our Champion, enters the shadow of death to defeat it. His garments are stained with blood so ours can be put away. His cross becomes our salvation.
When His light dawns, everything changes. The Counselor brings truth. The Father offers intimacy. The Prince of Peace restores the world. Advent is not just remembrance. It is renewal. The King has come.
