Families filled Metro Church’s Atrium on a Saturday afternooon, anticipating the annual Easter Egg Hunt hosted by Crossroads Children’s Fellowship. Children were met with long craft tables of markers and stickers to decorate their baskets, and many joined the line for face painting.

Families from across the Greater Philadelphia area mingled as their children donned bunny ear headbands and took pictures with the Easter Bunny. It was an opportunity for parents to connect with old and new friends and make lasting memories with their families.

Pastor Dan Sung opened up the event with a word of prayer, and the children excitedly lined up to enter 2Loves Indoor Play Park across the hall. The Crossroads team hid eggs in the nooks and crannies of all the miniature playsets in the indoor park. Children of all ages eagerly unearthed eggs and filled their baskets to the brim while parents on the sidelines delighted in their joy.

“I love the Easter Egg hunt, and I love that Metro chooses to host one each and every year. It’s such a clear example of how God's love for my kids is acted out through the volunteers' sacrifice of time and energy to bring a moment of joy and fun into the lives of my children. God has placed this community not just in my life and in my wife's life, but also in the lives of my kids. The egg hunt is the demonstration of Metro Church's devotion not only to the teaching, training, and discipling of my children through the lessons taught on Sundays, but also to being a joyful part of my kids' lives as they grow up in the church. My hope is that my kids will understand how precious they are to God, our Father, through the acts of service of our Crossroads team and volunteers. And, that the church community, in its entirety, took their responsibility very seriously when they said they would assist the parents in the nurturing and growth of our children's faith in Christ and his redeeming love for us,” expressed parent Jonathan Paek.

Once all the eggs were found, the children eagerly cracked them open to see the treasure inside. They were met with an abundance of candy, toys, and stickers to enjoy throughout the week.

Crossroads Teacher Alice Park expressed, “I hope children and families walked away not just with candy and fun memories, but with a deeper sense of being loved and welcomed. More than anything, we hope that this event points to the true meaning of Easter: the hope, joy, and new life we have because of Jesus.”
