ADVENT

At Metro

The story of Christmas doesn’t begin in Bethlehem, but with generations of longing, promise, and waiting. This Advent, we follow that story again, seeing how every moment leads to Christ, the Arrival of the King who enters our world with truth and grace.

Adventus Domini:
The King Has Come

This Advent, we turn our attention to the coming of the King, listening to the voices and exclamations that prepared God’s people for the birth of Jesus. Together, we’ll journey through these ancient cries of hope and behold Christ, our promised Messiah.

The Good News

What Is the Gospel?

At Christmas, Christians remember a simple, stunning truth:
The Word became flesh.
The true Light of the world came to us.

Jesus stepped into our night,
not to judge from a distance,
but to draw near,
to give us life,
to carry our burdens,
to make a way for his people,
to be renewed, to be free from our sin,
to behold the brilliance and beauty of God.

The gospel is the good news that through Him,
Jesus offers salvation instead of shame,
hope instead of helplessness,
a transformed heart and
a renewed mind.

This is a gift,
not a reward, offered freely.
To be received with open hands.

If you are exploring faith or wondering
what Christmas is really all about,
we invite you to start here.
